VES: Inside and Outside the Box

VES: Inside & Outside the Box
Instructed by Justin Hanley

This program takes the tips, tricks, and ideas we are being taught and sews them into a successful fabric. VES is simple, yet dynamic. This class will work on defining the basics and then refining them both inside and outside the window. VES begins with mindset. Successful implementation requires proficiency in the small things. These details cost us nothing to perfect, but can cost THEM everything when we don't perform.

VES: Beyond the Door

Beyond the door is not just speaking about physically searching beyond the door but thinking outside the check box that has consumed most VES training.

We will use experience, statistics, building construction knowledge and tempo to occupy the spaces where victims are most likely to be found and put THEM first!

We will put you in real world scenarios, environments and layouts that will reinforce your current VES skills and when, why, or how to move beyond the standard check box VES training. Some situations include: what to do if there is no door to control, can multiple FF's perform VES, do conditions allow us to continue the search beyond the door, how to deal with access / egress problems, victim removal issues, victims presenting at windows and much more.

● Window cuts
● Baby Drop / Conscious Victim Ladder Assist
● Interior door off hinges removal / Isolation challenges
